Jewelry Storage

Often, jewelry organizers are either cumbersome--lots of little drawers and slots--unattractive, or both. Turn to the kitchen for a two fresh ways to store your bracelets and baubles.
A three tiered cake stand, made of coated wire or metal, looks pretty on a dresser or small table, keeps your favorite pieces in plain sight. Each tier should have a small lip to ensure that items don't fall off the edge. Organize according to tier, with rings above and necklaces neatly wound beneath, or simply let it be a jumble. For small pieces, such as earrings or rings, place a small ceramic bowl or a few silicone cupcake holders placed on one of the tiers.
Alternately, purchase a cupcake stand and enough silicone cupcake holders to fill each of the slots. Place a few pieces in each slot (necklaces should be stored by themselves, so they don't twist together).
